Full Midi Skirt

When it comes to ways to wear the midi skirt, fuller styles can be trickier to pull off. This outfit snapped by Amar Daved is a great example of how to add a street edge to what would otherwise be a very ladylike outfit. The full white skirt teamed with a grey tank top and distressed denim vest is one that you could easily take inspiration from.

UPD:

The midi skirt is a timeless wardrobe staple, and there are so many ways to style it to create a unique and modern look. One of the most popular trends right now is to pair a full midi skirt with a tank top and a denim vest. This look, as exemplified by Amar Daved, is a great way to achieve a street style aesthetic. The full skirt adds a feminine touch to the outfit, while the denim vest and tank top bring an edgy vibe.

This look is perfect for those who want to be stylish but also comfortable. The midi skirt is flattering on many body types, and the denim vest and tank top are easy to layer on top. This look is also incredibly versatile - you can dress it up with heels and a statement necklace, or dress it down with a pair of sneakers and a casual t-shirt.

The full midi skirt is also a great way to make a bold fashion statement. You can choose a skirt in a bright color or a patterned fabric, and pair it with a neutral top or jacket. This look is perfect for those who want to stand out from the crowd.

Finally, the full midi skirt is a great way to stay cool in the summer months.

Leather Midi Skirt

Leather skirts are a great way to work the midi trend. This outfit was snapped by Lee Oliveira and the whole outfit has a bit of a Ghost World vibe to it. It’s a mix of sweet and offbeat dressing. The midi skirt and sweater, teamed with the socks and heels combo, are very girly while the bat motif and leather skirt give the whole outfit a bit of edge.

Dressed down Midi Skirt

Dress down a midi skirt by teaming it with casual outerwear. We spotted this outfit on the Street Style Seconds blog. This midi skirt was dressed down with a printed t-shirt, slouchy anorak, and casual sneakers. An oversized neutral clutch and long drop pendant completed the look.

UPD:

A midi skirt presents the perfect opportunity to flaunt a blend of feminine grace and laid-back cool. Opt for a soft jersey skirt or even a denim rendition for maximum versatility. Layering is key – a lightweight, cropped sweater or a simple denim jacket can effortlessly dial down the sophistication. When it comes to footwear, the rule is there are no rules – chunky boots add edge, while slip-on flats keep the vibe low-key. Accessories such as beanies or baseball caps can introduce an extra twist of slouchy streetwear charm to the ensemble.

Fitted Midi Skirt

Midi skirts don’t always have to be full and pouffy. They can be sleeker and more streamlined if you go for a fitted version. Catherine was snapped by Suzanne Middlemass wearing an ASOS fitted midi skirt, white Peter Pan collar blouse, and beige trench coat. She accessorised with graphic sunglasses, red buckled shoes and a red headscarf.

5

Checked Midi Skirt

Mixing and matching prints is still a pretty popular trend. We spotted this eye-catching look on the Stylesight blog. The black and white check midi skirt teamed with a bright sunflower print top is a fun summer look. It has a bit of a preppy '50s inspired feel to it, but the mix and match prints are very ‘now.’

UPD:

Accessorizing this ensemble with simple jewelry and a pair of bold statement shoes can elevate the whole outfit, making it perfect for brunch with friends or a casual day at the office. If you prefer a subtler take on this trend, consider pairing the skirt with a classic white tee and a denim jacket. For those cooler evenings, throw on a leather jacket for an edgy twist that seamlessly blends retro charm with contemporary style. Remember, the key to rocking a checked midi skirt is confidence and a playful approach to fashion!

Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

I like the # 6 I like the complete look I would most definitively get it

No. 4 ... Love it and think would also work with even longer skirt ... also No. 7 even tho tis on the conservative side Thandi\'s rockin it .... and her Big Black Bag ... Where did she get it ? Love it so much I seriously want to buy one! If anyone can advise what brand it is .. I would be oh so eternally grateful! One of my faves for a midi dress (floral/patterned) is with a bolero or cropped cardi (in solid colour) on top ... elongates a shorter gal if you get the colours/patterns right .. Anyone else agree??

I loved number 1 and 2 <3
